The monkeys featured here are regular members of the IMU Cast, they are graduates of IMU and faculty members. This is their story: past, present and future.
He and Shakespeare Monkey were roommates at IMU.
Shortly after graduation, Web Comic Monkey came to work for me drawing comics. It was a good gig for him at first, but he soon fell back into drinking too much.
He took a leave of absence for awhile to try to get cleaned up. He briefly worked in tech support during that time. Then he went on to work for BananaSoft, a software company.
With the current recession, he was laid off. He is currently back working with me drawing comics. That's how I'm able to keep up with a regular schedule again.
He's just a little hyper caffeinated. Ever once in a while, all the caffeine will wear off and he'll take a nap. His last nap lasted 17 days.
He tried to get a job at a local coffee shop once. He was so jittery from all the coffee he'd snuck while no one was looking that he broke $567 worth of dishes his first day. Needless to say, he did not have a second day on the job.
Proverb Monkey has some gas issues. He suffers from IBS.
He often speaks in proverbs or zen kōans.
Shakespeare Monkey was Web Comic Monkey's roommate in college. Since graduation, he's been living in London, trying to make a living as a playwright.
I've been keeping up with his career largely through his correspondence with Web Comic Monkey. They try to stay in touch.
Most recently, he directed a production of Hamlet. I'm told there was a big argument over why he wasn't paid for the use of his play. The whole matter is currently in litigation. I don't expect him to win. His lawyer, Sad Sack Monkey, isn't very good.
PH Monkey was a tenured professor of typing at IMU. Most recently, he was made Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.
He's not very funny on his own, but he's often the butt of jokes.
Sad Sack Monkey is a graduate of IMU Law and is currently serving as IMU's legal counsel. He also represents other monkeys from time to time.
