It is the Grand Canyon State after all.
At its deepest, the Grand Canyon is 1.83 km deep. That's a long way to fall.
I first heard this expression as a metaphor for abstinence. If I recall correctly, it was from a teacher in a high school. From that point forward, the girl who told me the story used the expression "going to Arizona" as a euphemism for having sex. It was amusing.
When I was on Facebook the other day, I saw some pictures of the Grand Canyon taken by Sage, a girl I went to high school with. I was immediately reminded of the expression. Sage has also been kind enough to allow me to use one of these photos (highly modified) as the background for today's comic.
I'm also amused that there were two comics about gravity this week.
