Daily Wisdom and IMU are currently on hiatus.
Daily Wisdom
Notes for the day:
The rabbit hole is twelve levels deep.
Friday, March 20, 2009

For the regular comic, ten levels of recursion was sufficient to complete the illusion, but I had to add two more for the larger version to still look good. I had to slightly modify the layout of the website to accommodate the joke, but I really think it looked better when I was thinking outside the box.

I also love that in Illustrator, when you zoom in, which I had to do in order to create the recursions properly, It's all still very clear and readable. I remember when I first discovered vector based art thinking that it was weird and too hard. Now, I don't know how I got by without it.

But when does it stop being funny?

  • In the past week, I've found 4 or 5 typos on the website. I'm shocked my grammar nazi friends hadn't found them yet.
  • rennissauscing (verb): getting drunk while expanding your skill set
  • @kezhound Chrome doesn't support it even for raw display of the feed.
  • I don't know how it happened, but there's a DW update today. http://wisdomfortheday.com
